Stunning mountain views

the buckley arms is such a cozy country hotel! the hostess was super friendly and took us to our clean, spacious room with a fab view of the hills. breakfast was delish, we had scrambled eggs and ham, and the coffee was fresh and rich! the lounge is really nicely decorated, and it's a great place to unwind with a book. it felt like a home away from home.

the only downside was that we wished the dinner menu had more options. also, it was kinda tricky to find the entrance at first.

A delightful one-night stay featured immaculate rooms, high-quality linen, and stunning mountain views. The freshly prepared Chinese dinner was a highlight, accompanied by excellent service from the attentive owners who went above and beyond. The charming garden overlooking the countryside added to the relaxing atmosphere. the furnishings felt slightly dated and could benefit from some modernization, and parking can be tricky during busy times. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this as a peaceful retreat.

Exceptional Whisky Selection.

Our experience was marred by several significant issues. The hot water was unreliable, frequently shifting from scalding to freezing without notice, making showers quite uncomfortable. the breakfast service was inefficient. we had to wait an unnecessarily long time before even being asked about our meal preferences. It felt frustrating to sit there, waiting with no updates, particularly since it was supposed to be a pre-agreed time.

We really loved our cozy room with the gorgeous mountain view and the delicious dinner we had! There’s a lovely garden area to relax in and a sun terrace to soak up the sun. The only tiny drawback was the wifi being a bit spotty, but that didn’t ruin our stay at all. 😊

I didn't expect to find a Chinese restaurant in this place, but I tell ya the food was top notch! The breakfast was a full Welsh feast, left me absolutely stuffed, hard to believe we were in the middle of nowhere yet had fine dining.

The dining experience was outstanding, featuring a well-stocked bar and delicious Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices. A highlight was the flexibility for breakfast, which catered perfectly to our family's needs.

Room rates are slightly on the higher side.

Only downside was a slightly limited dinner menu.

I enjoyed my stay in a spacious Double Room with Mountain View. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The views of the hills were stunning from the lounge. The restaurant served excellent Chinese food. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. 😊
